Weds 19th July

Very sparse attendance last night, just four of us!

We inspected all the colonies, Colony five appears to have decided to supersede after all! Colony two may be doing likewise, one QC with larva in, few eggs, queen not seen. Both Langstroth colonies look to have Queens now, as eggs and young brood were present, although we didn’t see them! Others trundling along.

The bees were unusually feisty, probably due to the weather, hot, sticky, and muggy, and a few stings were suffered! I paid painfully for removing my gloves to mark a queen!
